Leedham joined Davies in 2018, following the acquisition of Ember Group, where he was CEO. Since then, he has played a key role in growing Davies’ consulting business, offering customer experience, innovation, analytics and training solutions to global clients.
Following his promotion as group chief transformation officer, Leedham will oversee the transformation and M&A integration team globally, including in the US, where Davies has expanded its operations in recent years.
Davies group CEO Dan Saulter congratulated Leedham on his promotion, describing him as “instrumental” in the successful growth of the company’s consulting arm.
“I am also happy that we have been able to promote internally again; Investing in our people and providing them with opportunities for career development is central to our success,” added Saulter.
Leedham also expressed excitement about his new role, highlighting how Davies is committed to investing in technology to help clients “get through these increasingly turbulent times” in the global insurance market.
Increased investment
Over the past five years, Davies has invested more than four times its initial funding in innovation and digital transformation. This includes the acquisition of Sionic in 2021which enhances the company’s global technology innovation, digitalization, international regulatory compliance, and risk management offerings to clients in the insurance, banking, and highly regulated sectors.
Following a period of organic and M&A growth, Davies recently is restructuring its operations into three main business units: Davies Global Solutions, Davies UK & Ireland, and Davies US.
“Our success in recent years is linked in part to our ability to remain agile, to adapt our structure, and to provide new solutions to our clients around the world,” said Saulter about the new structure of company. “As we embark on our next phase of international growth and investment, it is important that we position our business units and leadership to serve our 1,500-plus clients worldwide.”
